Our Team

Who is Reverend Sue Bluett?

I have been in ministry most of my working years. My passion is helping people discern their spiritual gifts and abilities and providing training for them to use these to the best of their abilities. I felt God calling me to the Longbeach Anglican Church in 2017 and have enjoyed its emphasis on outreach to the local community and on the importance of opening God’s word and prayer.

I started out as a teacher, worked for Scripture Union, was a Chaplain at Carey Baptist Grammar, lectured at Ridley Theological College (visiting lecturer), and has worked in a variety of roles within Anglican Churches around Melbourne.

Who is Bec Featonby?

I am an Assistant Minsiter here at Longbeach Anglican Church. I am one of six siblings, and when I’m is not visiting one of her numerous siblings or their lovely children I am often at home either studying for my Masters of Ministry or hanging out with my cats, Mischief and Mayhem, in my small garden.

I have a range of responsibilities within our Parish.  I look after parts of our Children and Families Ministries which include our Playgroup, Tweens, and our Holiday Program. I also run our Tuesday Lunch Church and I preach at our Sunday Services regularly. I am very friendly, so if I don’t come and say hi first, please come and say hello.

Who is Jaquiline Hendry?

I had a carefree childhood living on the edge of the town in Traralgon.  I attended Traralgon High School and then studied science at Monash University. I currently live in Chelsea with my family and a menagerie of pets.

At the Longbeach Parish I organise the office, answer the phone and help to prepare services, I coordinate Matt’s Place Community Meals Program, and the Puppet Ministry and have a lot of fun preparing the Christmas Pageant with the children. I have no official qualifications for any of these roles except a love of Jesus and a heart for His gospel.

In my spare time I love to garden where most of my flowers are pink (even though my favourite colour is blue!) and after the struggle and change of the last two years, I find a quiet joy in the frog who has decided to take up residence beside my front door.
