Jesus said, ”All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”.
The Longbeach Parish places great emphasis on local and overseas mission. Ten percent of
Matthew 28:18-19
our income has been allocated to various ministries that places an emphasis on making
Jesus known, forming disciples and leadership development.
We are currently supporting three missionaries. Our Link missionaries are:
David and Prue Boyd with CMS
David focuses on strengthening church leadership through Bible teaching and encouraging
various groups in discipleship. Prue teaches audiological skills at two centers in the town
and plans to start training health centre workers in ear health. They are based in
The Republic of Congo.
Rosemary and Derek Snibson with CMS
Rosemary and Derek Snibson Derek and Rosemary work with Aboriginal Christians and leaders in Darwin. They seek to
encourage and support them in reaching out to others. They are part of the Ministry
Development Team of the Anglican Diocese of the Northern Territory
Ash and Sue Goode with Pioneers
Ash and Sue Goode are partnering with Churches in the Pacific and mainly work with people from the Solomon Islands and PNG. Their roles are to further equip the church to mobilise missions.
There are many other organisations that we support, and these include:
Ridley Theological College, BCA – Bush Church Aid, SU – Scripture Union, The Leprosy Mission, CBM – Christian Blind Mission, Anglicare, Tear, the Church of Christ breakfast, and the Chelsea Community support services.
